E-Care's
Executive Team
 |
Kimberly DeThomas
President, E-Care Contact Centers
LTD.
Kim
DeThomas is a classic corporate success
story. In May 1998, Kim joined the small start-up company
now known as E-Care Contact Centers. Concurrent with
her employment, Kim attended the University of Winnipeg
from which she graduated in 2002 with a Double Major
in Business Administration and Psychology. Through professional
dedication, business acumen and extremely hard work,
Kim progressed up through the ranks until in August 2005,
she was named the President of E-Care Contact Centers.
E-Care employs over 500 staff, providing contact center,
finance, payment services, human resources and business
technology support to a variety of lending companies.
Kim
possesses a unique ability to be both engaging/caring,
but at the same time is able to make difficult people
decisions. She is widely known to be “firm but
fair”.
Kim was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She lives
outside the city with her husband Paul, daughter Morgan and son Julian as well as their two
dogs and two cats.
In the midst of her extremely busy life, she takes time
for a few leisure activities including photography, travel
and movies of all kinds. |

Gary Mizuno
Vice President, Finance
Immediately
upon meeting Gary you discover that he is an intelligent,
unassuming yet strong leader. A
likeable guy, he tends to befriend people effortlessly. Gary
began his career with E-Care in 2005 as a Business Analyst
but quickly displayed the qualities E-Care needed as
head of our Finance Team in British Columbia. After
several months of commuting from Winnipeg to British
Columbia he accepted the position of V.P. Finance and
moved, along with his family to what has been called
(to the chagrin of his team members in Winnipeg) God's
Country.
Gary
graduated from the Asper School of Business (University
of Manitoba) in 1992 with an
honours degree in Commerce as well as a CMA. He
has over 14 years of providing professional services
to Manitoba businesses which include Kraft, Boeing Canada
and Assante Asset Management. In these sectors,
Gary gained valued experience that primarily focused
on financial/business analyses, project management, business
relationship management, controllership and business
development.
Just
recently Gary partook in a Vancouver experience that
from what we hear is an absolute must…..The
Grouse Grind (also referred to as Mother Natures
Stairmaster) a 2.9 Km hike up Grouse Mountain. Impressively
finishing the hike in a very respectful timeframe we
hear that he has been regularly returning to challenge
himself to reduce this overall hiking time. We're
sure that soon that Elderly couple that passed him will
be left in his dust! Aside from hiking Mountains,
Gary also enjoys spending time with his friends and family. With the recent addition of another little girl to his clan he'll need to dedicate even more time to family, so it's a good thing he enjoys it! His
hobbies include traveling, hockey and golf. |

Shawna Fisette
Director of Contact Center Operations
and Client Services
Personable,
Passionate and Positive are just 3 words to describe
our Director of Contact Center
Operations and Client Services, Shawna Fisette. Shawna's
management style has earned her the reputation of being
a hands-on leader with a remarkable sense of fair play
and business ethics.
Shawna
began her career with E-Care in 2001 as a contact center
agent while working on completing
her post secondary education. Always proving to
be a natural leader and dedicated team player Shawna
rose in the ranks to become an integral member of E-Care's
strategic leadership team.
Shawna
earned her Business Diploma from Red River College
in 2001 with major in Marketing and
Administration. Continuing to pursue a Bachelor's
degree at the University of Winnipeg while taking on
more and more responsibility at E-Care has kept Shawna
extremely busy however, she is as determined as she is
hardworking and therefore will achieve all the goals
she sets for herself.
Shawna's
many interests include; spending time with family and
friends, travel and sports. Growing
up in a very community oriented area of Winnipeg her
E-Care family was very shocked to hear that she was moving
out of Winnipeg for the small town life. All reports are that Shawna, her husband Jeremy, son Dylan, dog Bailey and their two cats,
Kitsy Cat and Tom Brady, or Brady for short (named after
New England Patriot's Superbowl MVP) are loving small town living and have no plans to return to the "big city". |

Archie Martel
Director of Business Technology
Immediately
upon joining the E-Care family Archie became an indispensable
member of the leadership
team. Archie's calm and analytical nature
make him a perfect fit to lead our Business Technology
department. Understanding the need to have technology
not for the sake of technology but to advance the business,
he has developed a team of dedicated business people
with extensive technology experience and education.
Archie
has been working in the IT industry for 10 years and
began his career in this exciting field
by obtaining a Computer Programming Diploma from Red
River College. Specializing in manufacturing control
systems and customization of ERP systems (primarily Baan
IV) in the early stages of his career he has now moved
on to IT project and resource management.
In
his spare time Archie enjoys restoring classic Chevy
muscle cars, reading, and online gaming
(WOW being a current favorite). He plays hockey
and is an avid Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Calgary Flames
fan. Although you may see him quite frequently
riding his bike around his neighborhood (in the summer
of course) don't be mistaken, this is not a favorite
pastime of his but something his daughters enjoy so he
indulges them (did we mention what a nice guy he is??). Archie,
his wife Melanie, and their two daughters, Rheanne and
Samantha live in Winnipeg in their newly renovated home
(which by his own admission Archie spends far too much
time working on). |

Rubylyn
Engstrom
Director, Payment Services
Recently E-Care was lucky enough to have a new addition
to our executive team. It was meant to be from the start, Rubylyn was looking for an opportunity to move her family from Winnipeg to British Columbia and we were looking for someone to head up our Payment Services department in where else…..British Columbia. Leaving
her last organization was a very difficult choice for
her as she had been with them for 13 years in a number
of different roles and felt as if she was leaving behind
members of her family. Understanding how difficult
it must have been we welcomed her to the E-Care family
with open arms……..and of course a transfer
to where else…..God's
country (British Columbia for those of you who don't
live there ;-) We are very fortunate to have gained
an honest, hardworking and dedicated individual on our
team and hopefully in time she will regard us as family
as well.
As mentioned previously Rubylyn has had many different roles in her past which, along with her continued education, has created a savvy business person who achieves success regardless of the position she holds at any given time.
Her education includes a degree from the University of Winnipeg majoring in Political Science, a certificate in Operations Management from Queens University, as well as completing a program on Negotiations from Harvard University.
Rubylyn,
along with husband Don and their daughter Brookelyn,
now reside in Surrey, B.C. (just a stone's throw away
from Rubylyn's parents......gotta love free childcare
;-)
When Rubylyn is not working hard at the office, she enjoys boating, fishing and spending quality time with her family. |
